Especially for mobile and portable applications in the outdoor area, the modules can also be operated purely by battery. The latest state-of-the-art LiFePO4 / LiPo batteries, which are specially designed to meet the high demands and specifications of the industry, are used for this purpose.

The module is a fully functional plug & play solution. The implemented monitoring system carries out a continuous review of all relevant performance data in order to safely shut down the systems in case of misconduct and thus prevent data loss. Through the detailed analysis of the collected data, the system can be operated highly efficient and energy-saving. The S.USV mobile variants allow the systems to be launched purely via battery and operated permanently, without the need for a primary source of supply. The modules also work with intelligent power management systems, thus preventing data loss or operational failures of the systems used.

Thanks to the integrated real-time clock, as well as the function of the Timed Action Scheduler (on-board) of the single-board computers, the systems can be supplied with energy saving and the life time/life of the batteries can be drastically increased.

Not all applications require that the single board computers and embedded systems are permanently in operational condition and therefore benefit from modern low-power strategies – so that the systems can be switched to sleep and low-power mode in order to Save energy and only be started and operated when needed or at tightly configured deployment times. As an example, appropriate measurement and control systems can serve, which are only started at certain times or events, collect and evaluate available data, and then switch back to sleep and low-power mode.
