Using smart meter gateways for BSI-compliant charging
With the energy and mobility transition in full-swing, it is crucial to develop solutions for targeted sector coupling using the latest infrastructures. For charging battery-electric vehicles in particular, an intelligent, safety-compliant and calibration-compliant solution in various application scenarios is needed due to the high charging power and the forecast high volumes of electrical work. State of the art technology is to be used on the power grid side: smart meter gateways.
Together with PBW-Parkraumgesellschaft Baden-Württemberg GmbH, we are developing a manufacturer-independent, smart meter-based e-mobility solution for controlling, billing and managing charging processes in the parking garage Hofdienergarage in Stuttgart. The solution will also be calibration law and BSI compliant. Our focus is on integrating smart meter gateways into secure communication with the charging infrastructure.
